The home run by Kemmer, part of a two-run inning, gave the Grizzlies a 2-1 lead before Max Stassi scored on a sacrifice later in the inning.
The Grizzlies later tacked on three runs in the sixth, including a single by Tony Kemp that scored Kemmer.
Brendan McCurry (1-0) got the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief while Sacramento starter Dusten Knight (1-2) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.

In the top of the sixth, Sacramento cut into the lead on a wild pitch that scored Carlos Moncrief.
