Madera County sheriff's log for Feb. 6-12

The Madera County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents on Feb. 6 and 7.

Feb. 6 5:02 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the Madera Sheriff’s in Madera to take a report of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. The incident took place in the 20000 block of Avenue 18. The case was forwarded to detectives for follow-up.

Feb. 7 3:55 a.m. — Deputy conducted a traffic stop on two subjects riding their bikes in the wrong direction on Yosemite Avenue near B Street in Madera. The female was later arrested due to possession of meth and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections and booked on drug related charges.

10:11 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Seminole Drive in Coarsegold regarding a report of sexual assault. During the investigation it was determined the incident occurred in the city of Stockton. The report was written as a courtesy report and is to be forwarded to the Stockton Police Department.

Feb. 8 7:41 a.m. — Deputy was flagged down by a concerned citizen in the 40000 block of State Route 41 in Oakhurst. The citizen reported that a person who appeared drunk was on the side of a business in the 42000 block of Ca-49. Deputy responded and contacted the person. Deputy noted the person was intoxicated and unable to care for herself. Subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County jail.

9:34 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to contact the owner of a vacant residence in the 10000 block of El Paso Road in Madera regarding a vandalism by spray paint. Report was written. 5:28 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Flying O Ranch Road in Coarsegold regarding a family disturbance. A report was written for documentation purposes.

Feb. 9 8:51 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to a welfare check in the 30000 block of Ridgewood Road in North Fork. The patient was placed on a protective hold and transported to the hospital. The case was closed.

10:13 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Lindsay Lane in Oakhurst regarding an assault on a caregiver. The victim (caregiver) reported that a neighbor had assaulted her. She requested charges be filed. She was referred to the District Attorney’s Office for changes to be filed.

Feb. 10 7:09 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 25000 block of Berkeley Drive in Madera regarding a subject who was intoxicated and threatened to kill someone or go to jail. He was placed on a 5150 mental health hold and Emergency Medical transported him to Madera Community Hospital.

2:39 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 25000 block of Avenue 17 ½ in Madera regarding a burglary of storage units. A subject who worked for the storage unit business was arrested.

4:57 p.m. — Deputy responded to the 9000 block of Peck Boulevard in Madera regarding a possible parental abduction. A report was written and forwarded to the Detective’s Division for follow up.

Feb. 11 6:02 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky lane in Coarsegold regarding a possible check fraud. The suspect had attempted to cash a stolen check. After speaking with the victim, who advised the deputy the checks were stolen out of Fresno, the victim requested charges. Deputy requested this report be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

Feb. 12 5:49 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 15000 block of Watson Street in Madera for a report of a possible home invasion. The home was searched and it was later determined that it was not a home invasion and that no crime had occurred. The caller was later placed on a 5150 hold and transported to Madera Community Hospital for evaluation.
