Madera County sheriff's log for Oct. 31 to Nov. 6

Oct. 31 6:38 a.m. — Deputy took a report regarding a suicidal juvenile in the 36000 block of Verde Avenue in Madera. The juvenile was taken to the hospital. Case closed.

6:46 a.m. — Deputy was sent to the 50000 block of School Road in Oakhurst regarding a report of a white, 2-door Toyota Tercel driving around the school and two suspects were trying to gain access to the gate at the school. Suspect was located and arrested. A report was taken, evidence obtained and case closed.

Nov. 1 1 a.m. — Deputy was sent to a home in the 36000 block of Road 222 in Wishon regarding a report of an unattended death. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Coroner’s Office for a review and possible follow up investigation.

1:23 p.m. — A deputy was sent to a home in the 16000 block of Austin in Madera regarding theft of mail from a mailbox. A suspect was seen but could not be found.

Nov. 2 8:34 a.m. — Deputy took a report of a vehicle burglary in the 18000 block of Madrone Place in Madera. The burglary happened between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. .This is the second vehicle burglary reported in this area overnight. Case report taken; no suspect leads.

11:39 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Road 274 regarding stolen checks. One of the checks was cashed at a grocery store in Auberry. At this time it is undetermined if the checks were actually stolen in Madera or Fresno County. The check was cashed at a business out of the county. This case will be forwarded to detectives for follow-up.

Nov. 3 10:24 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 22000 block of Road 17 1/2 in Chowchilla for a report of a theft of a mailbox. The theft of the mailbox occurred in October 2016. No arrest was made, suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Nov. 6 5:41 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of First Street in Chowchilla regarding a civil issue. Subject had a felony warrant out of our office. She was later booked into Madera Department of Corrections.

10:44 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 12000 block of Georgia Circle in regards to found property and a suspicious vehicle in the area. An adult male was arrested due to a warrant and a case report was written.
