Sixth class set to be inducted

Madera swimmer Art Ruble, right, sits with his 1972 teammates and coach, his father Mark, back. Art Ruble, who held every swimming record at Fresno State and won a gold medal in the Pan Am Games will be one of five individuals inducted into the Madera Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame on Nov. 5.

The Madera Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame will induct its seventh class on Nov. 5 at the Peters Brothers Banquet Hall, beginning at 5 p.m.


Longtime Madera Coyote diving coach Bill McAlister will be inducted, along with the DaSilva family as contributors, as well as the 1997-1998 Valley Champion Madera Coyote boys soccer team.


Swimming record holder Art Ruble, NCAA All-American Danene Bishel-Guglielmana, State wrestling champion Eric Philp, All-Big West Conference lineman Anthony Gallegos will be also be inducted.


The late Landon Guglielmana will be the first representative of Madera South inducted into the Hall of Fame, as well.

 

Tickets to the event are $50 and can be purchased at Round Table Pizza or The Madera Tribune.
