MALL 11s advance to District 10 semis before first loss

The Madera American Little League 10-11-year-old All-Stars won the first two games of the District 10 tournament and found themselves in the semifinals of the 10-11-year-old bracket, facing Reedley on Monday.

With the teams tied at two, Reedley sent 12 batters to the plate in an eight-run sixth inning to run away with a 10-2 victory.

Despite the loss, Madera American still advances in the double-elimination tournament. they will play the winner of River Park National and Madera National on Thursday.

Madera American opened the tournament with a 5-1 victory over Sunnyside on Saturday at River Park. The team followed that with a 12-2 win over River Park American on Sunday before losing to Reedley on Monday...
