2016 All-Madera Tribune Softball

Co-Most Valuable Player Aaliyah Cuevas Jr. of Madera

All-League: First team, County/Metro Athletic Conference

Stats: .377 batting average, 34 R, 43 H, 11 2B, 5 3B, 26 RBI

Cuevas batted in the top third of the order for the Coyotes. She spent half her time in the lead-off spot and was great there. She batted .346 from there and scored 18 of her team-high 34 runs from there. She also provided pop with a team-leading 11 doubles and five triples. She broke the Madera Coyote career RBI mark midway through the CMAC season, breaking Kathy Cota’s record set in 2008. She finished with a team-leading 26 and has 81 in her three-year career. She is also second in career batting average. Also, who can forget Cuevas’ inside-the-park, walk-off home run in the Div. II Valley Championship game.
