County: Suspect ramps up crimes

A reluctant-to-appear suspect in a carjacking case is set for arraignment on June 20 in Madera County Superior Court.

According to Madera County District Attorney David A. Linn, suspect Nicholas Sell, 30, declined to appear in court for a scheduled arraignment on Thursday. Linn is filing a request for an extraction order to make Sell comply.

Deputies from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sell in Madera Ranchos on Tuesday following a reported carjacking that took place the previous day.
