Fresno police arrest girl for threatening graffiti message

June 10, 2016

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Police say they have arrested a Fresno girl in connection with a threatening graffiti message, even though police do not believe it was a credible threat.

School officials contacted police after the graffiti was found in a girl's bathroom at Clovis West High School on May 24.

Police say the girl arrested Wednesday confessed to writing the graffiti, which threatened to kill everyone in the school the next day.

Clovis Unified School District spokeswoman Kelly Avants did not release further information about the girl, citing privacy laws.
