Voter registration deadline approaching

Deadlines for voter registration are approaching.

According to the Maddy Institute at California State University, the vote-by-mail ballot mailing period starts Monday, May 9, and ends on May 31.

The last day for regular voter registration is May 23, while new citizen registration for people sworn in after May 23 will run from May 24 to June 7.

The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot is May 31 and the last day for the Registrar’s Office to receive a vote-by-mail ballot postmarked no later than June 7 will be on June 10...
