Scholarships, wine and micro-brew

An afternoon of wine and beer tasting from local vendors celebrated the Madera County Farm Bureau ‘s annual scholarship awards. The outdoor event took place at Appellation California on Avenue 7.

“We are able to award $40,000 in scholarships this year,” said Christina Beckstead, Farm Bureau executive director.

Farm Bureau President Jay Mahil welcomed members and guests and urged everyone to enjoy the food and beverages donated for the event.
