On behalf of all the Shades of Grey musicians, I would like to thank The Madera Tribune for the great story covering our 20th anniversary celebration at the Bergon Center.

The executive director of the Madera Chamber of Commerce, Debi Bray, was in attendance and helped with the introductions of the dignitaries ... and she stayed for the music.

Mayor Brett Frazier gave a very nice speech honoring the band. I think it was special that he talked about his grandfather loving our kind of music. Thank you, Mayor Frazier.

A very special thanks goes to our friend (heck, everyone’s friend) Leon Emo. Leon was Johnny on the spot. Leon, from everyone in the band, thank you. You are a good friend, you old desert rat.

Last I would like to give our gratitude to our special dancers and groupies. They are loyal and supportive. We love all of them.

Go, seniors!

Paul “Bud” Sanders,
Madera
