I live on Granada (Drive)between the Fresno River and Howard Road. I am being visited by raccoon(s) fairly often. One walked up to the sliding glass door on the patio tonight; a female I think. I have confronted a raccoon on at least two other occasions in the past few months; the same male, I think, both times. They mess up the cats’ outside water bowl more often than they are seen.

They are not bothering my cats and they do not seem ferocious when confronted. My question is, are you seeing evidence of raccoon visits?

(Editor’s note: While I have not seen a raccoon lately, I did spot an opossum running across Riverview Drive on my way home from work one recent evening. Opossums also have been seen in at least one backyard’s trees along Roberts Road. That particular yard also houses cats and dogs, which don’t seem happy to have the opossums as neighbors.)
