First, I would like to say a big thank you to Bill Coate. Ilove all the writings you do about our city and the people and families who live in it. I am very proud to be a Maderan. I’ve lived here 70 years and I love Madera.
I like the way you wrote about all of our Italian families that came to Madera from Italy. I grew up with lots of their children. I’ve always honored them, and appreciate all their hard work that they have done in and for Madera. I believe they have been, and still are, a very important part of Madera.
There are a lot more families besides the ones you wrote about, like Toschi, Sordi, de Cesari, Barrata, Da Silva, Marrianni, Marchetti, just to name a few.
We speak blessings over all of them, their farms, ranches and all the other things they do.
God loves Madera. God bless you all.
Carol L. Jones,
Madera
