My most sincere gratitude to you for use of “more than,” in lieu of “over,” in the Pomegranate Festival story and headline printed in the Tribune on Monday, Nov. 5.

Prolific use of “over,” and “under,” rather than “more than” and “less than,” or “fewer than,” seems to be the norm in current communication media.

It’s good to know someone still cares about English diction.

Ms. Royce King,
Madera
