By Madera County 4-H

For the second year in a row, 14-year-old Jonathan Bodine was selected as the Madera County Record Book county winner for shooting sports.

The freshman has been a member of Golden Oak 4-H for four years and is a past treasurer for the club. Being involved in 4-H has helped him become a better leader and citizen.

He has been in the shooting sports project for the past four years. He has enjoyed participating in shooting sports and has learned a lot about being safe around rifles and bows. This year he was the Golden Oak Junior Leader for the shooting sports-rifle and the shooting sports-archery projects.

When he is not busy with 4-H and high school, he enjoys karate, running, and strategy video games.
