I stand with Tami Jo Nix’s column of Feb. 18 on contraception 100 percent. In my mind, there is nothing more irresponsible then to bring newborns into this world that you can’t provide for.
When I was employed, our crew had on the average of two children. These were families that were making above average wages. They (like myself) understood what it would take to provide for their children.
Families today are not providing for their own. We are providing for their children. Overlapping programs offer standards of living to these families (often without fathers in residence) above those of working class families. I, for one, am tired of seeing girls with multiple young children walking down our streets and sidewalks pushing baby buggies. Multiple babies is now a career opportunity for many illegals.
When George Stephanopoulos asked Mitt Romney about contraception, had I been Romney I would have responded. “I wish your dad would have used some.”
