Buzz, Woody and the gang thrill on ice

Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3 is the highest grossing animated film of all time, so those who decided to turn the movie into a Disney On Ice production had some big shoes — or skates — to fill.

And Feld Entertainment, the same production company that brings us The Greatest Show on Earth (Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey) did just that.

Audience members were delighted as each of their favorite Disney/Pixar characters made their debut on the ice in Fresno’s Selland Arena. The cast was full of top-notch ice skaters who brought their characters to life with authentic moves paired with perfect costumes.

The plot mainly follows that of Toy Story 3, in which Andy’s toys are accidentally donated to a day care instead of stored in the attic while the now-grown boy goes to college. First excited, the toys soon learn that the day care is a prison run by Lotso, a scented stuffed bear, and his cronies...
