I wrote a letter in response to DJBecker's Madera Tribune article entitled “Man crashes into building after being shot,” and informed Madera how rude I thought Madera Police Department had been to me, and how I tried to organized a neighborhood watch, and no one contacted me.

Well, my response drew an apology.

Last week, I was contacted by Christina Herrera, neighborhood outreach specialist, City Councilman Andy Medellin and Officer Durbin Lloren.

I did appreciate the apology, and I look forward to having our neighborhood restored back with the feeling of safety and willingness of help from the Madera PD.

Once again, thank you for meeting with me.
