I’ve been on vacation out of state, so am just reading back issues ... and read in the Oct. 2 Tribune the letter from Bill Hoffrage, in which he is very critical of the Madera County Animal Shelter for handing out so many spay and neuter vouchers. I couldn’t disagree with him more.
What a great day it will be when we don’t have homeless, starving animals wandering around.
The people who can afford to get their animals spayed and neutered do it. The problem arises because so many people can’t afford to do more than feed, water, and provide a loving home for theirs ... and dogs and cats can certainly multiply fast.
