I love reading The Red Line on Tuesdays. Everyone gets to share their thoughts and that’s good. But why not come out of the shadows and make it a Letter to the Editor and put your name on it? Not many great thoughts and statements have Anonymous as the author.

To the lady who used my name in the Red Line on Jan. 29: My phone number is 233-5188. Call me so we can talk. We probably have much in common; we love our children and grandchildren, our community and our country; we believe in a Creator. That’s a lot and we should be able to have a civil conversation about our disagreements.

I expect some trash calls and will just cut those right off; rudeness is mostly a sign of frustration and lack of intelligence. It’s never right to be rude and it’s one of the lowest forms of communication. We can be better than that and should be.
