After reviewing the final Grand Jury Report into the actions of the County Administrative Officer, it is clear that bullying and intimidation took place within our county walls.
Bullying and intimidation has no place within any business, institution, or in this case, local government. These tactics must be dealt with swiftly and efficiently in making a statement that Madera County will not tolerate this kind behavior which has resulted in a hostile work environment for county employees.
Not only does it reduce the county’s efficiency in dealing with daily duties, it takes away legitimate resources for more pressing concerns within our local government.
It is clear that this appointed officer needs to step down and our elected board members need to seek to find another, more professional individual to fit the needs of the county.
