Have you heard that the Democrats in Sacramento want to raise our gas tax by 12 cents per gallon to help pay for this $200 billion choo choo train? Even though the bond measure we passed back in 2008 made it illegal to subsidize this boondoggle, they are trying to do it.

The Western States Petroleum Association is trying to infuse this into a cap and trade tax to supposedly reduce greenhouse gas so the $3 billion raised every year would mean some of that would be used to subsidize the train most people do not now want. If you buy 100 gallons of gas per month $144 per year will be added to your gasoline cost per year.

I am sorry to say that I voted for that bond measure but then turned against it when I really found out what it was going to cost. I hate to approve any bond anymore, even though some of them are worthy of approval.
