Here we are, one year after the horrendous event that occurred in Benghazi, Libya, and what has our Community Organizer done? Nothing. No one has been arrested or taken out; their deaths have not been avenged. Congress is trying to investigate, but our Community Organizer’s staff is putting up as many roadblocks as they can.

So when will someone be held accountable for what happened in Benghazi?

The one thing I have been thinking about for some time is what those brave men were thinking while fighting for their lives in a foreign country serving America. I can tell what I would have been thinking at that time, America’s military might was coming to help. Just like in the old cowboy movies, the cavalry appears riding over the hill to save the wagon train.

I can say that many years ago, while an officer for Fresno PD working on the streets, I had many occasions to call for code 3 help and to respond to officer-needs-assistance calls. I know that this was Fresno, not a foreign country, but there are similarities. If you have ever been in this type of violent situation you will know what I’m talking about. When the call goes out, you hear sirens all around town come alive and that would give me the additional strength to continue the fight knowing that help was coming. These were not just other FPD officers, but brothers in arms in neighboring communities, especially CHP and FSO.

I’m sure that those brave men in Benghazi were thinking just that, waiting to hear the roar of the afterburners of some F-16s flying overhead or maybe the rotors of an Apache helicopter. What about the missiles from a predator drone? But nothing ever came. The news accounts said that the fight lasted over seven hours. During that time, our Community Organizer did nothing. Our Secretary of State Clinton failed to answer the 2 a.m. phone call (one of her political ads). Maybe these actions would not have changed a thing, but at least they could have said “we tried”.

Everything that is going on in this country now and for the last five years is the direct result of having a Community Organizer as your president. God bless America.
