The announced retirement of District 3 Supervisor Ronn Dominici will be a loss to the citizens of Madera County. I was very pleased to see that Mr. Rick Farinelli has announced his candidacy to fill the District 3 Supervisor’s position.

Rick has a proven track record in the business community. He will work to provide the needed jobs in Madera County. Rick has excellent ideas to lower the tax burdens and I know he will hold the line on county spending. I am impressed with his promise to form a team of citizen volunteers (Red Team, Independent Ombudsman, and a Performance Review Committee) to create jobs and recommend changes within our county government. Rick also has promised to hold quarterly town hall meetings.

Rick is a veteran of the Navy and a devoted family man with roots in Madera County for the past 40 years. Rick is a hardworking conservative leader and would serve the citizens of District 3 with honor.

I thank Mr. Dominici for his past service to our county and wish him well in his retirement, and believe Rick Farinelli is the right person to replace him.

Gilbert Gallegos,
Madera
