Perhaps a vote for a member of a school board is the most patriotic of all votes because our local governments are closest to the citizens. Therefore, that vote should be thoughtfully cast.

I am urging that the residents of the Madera Unified School District give much thought to voting for their governing board member, Area 1, on Nov. 6. I recommend a candidate who has been on the school board and who has performed, as a member of that board, to the benefit of the community. I will summarize this candidate’s strengths, and you, the voters, can easily verify these through public records.

My candidate has a record of doing what is best for all students regardless of background or skills. He also has an intense interest in maintaining a district with a sound and realistic budget and funding the district so that it remains fiscally viable. My candidate works to keep all of the schools in Madera operating to achieve the highest of standards.

Please give thought to voting for and, if possible, do research on my candidate for Madera Unified School District, Area 1. I feel confident that your informed vote for my candidate, Ray Seibert, will be a vote to the benefit of our community and its schools.

Bob Labrucherie,
