I am responding to all the ridiculous accusations regarding Sam Pistoresi and the Pistoresi family reunion and his political views.

I am a family member, and at least six other family members and myself form a committee that helps coordinate the reunions every two years. It is a “joint effort” and everyone who participates agrees how much to charge per person to attend and cover the costs involved.

Sam does not make that decision alone. Joy and Sam are generous and gracious enough to allow the reunions at their home and he goes to extreme measures to see that everything is done above anyone’s expectations at no charge! It is not a money-maker for anyone Involved and those that attend enjoy visiting and paying their way.

If this person who called in to the Redline is a family member maybe they should attend once and see just how nice and planned-out the reunion is. It is a very special event and we have Sam and Joy to thank for most of that.

Sam’s political views have nothing to do with the reunion. The person who called the Redline was very much out-of-line. We are a free country and we all have freedom of speech and our own political views.

Sam has a right to express his views and we have a right to charge whatever is appropriate for the family reunion without interference from people that know nothing about someone else’s personal business. Please have the courtesy to sign your name next time. Thank you Sam and Joy for all your generosity. God Bless America, our freedom, and family reunions.
