This Memorial Day just passed I remembered 18 Pan-Am Club members that have passed away.

While I was a member of the Pan-Am Club from 1963 through 1981 we handed out 27 scholarships to graduates.

The Pan-Am Club members that have passed away and are well remembered by me are as follows:

Danny Martinez, Pete Mayorga, Louie Gonzales, Oli Jimenez, Juan Severa, John Juarez Sr., John Juarez Jr., Gonzalo “Gigi” Palacios, Victor Medellin, Ray Soriano, Alex Cervantez, Al Venegas, Robert Chavira, Manuel “Meme” Hernandez, Joe Torres, Edward Moffat, Albert Avila and Charlie De Luna.

These are the 18 well remembered Pan-Am Club members and especially Juan Severa who brought us our Pan-Am Club banner from Mexico, while on a trip to Mexico.

Eddie Chapa,
Madera
