After three months of intense planning, set building, casting, and rehearsing, Madera South High’s musical, “In the Heights,” will open tonight in the school’s auditorium.
More than 40 student actors, singers, and dancers gave their drama teacher, Ginger Latimer, and her assistants their best effort in dress rehearsals, which brought the stage to life Tuesday and Wednesday evening. As Latimer and her directors — former students of hers — monitored every move, every note, and every word, they pushed their young charges toward perfection.
Now they are ready to invite the public to enjoy an evening “In the Heights.”
