May wine trail draws less-than-usual attendance

Participating wineries in one annual wine trail event said this year’s turnout was less than usual, with the number of wine tasters dwindling from the thousands to the hundreds.

“We had maybe 300 people yesterday and today it’s much smaller,” said Adam Longatti on Sunday.

Longatti organized the 13th annual Reveiller, which is the only free juried art show part of the wine trail at Quady Winery. The low turnout prompted organizers to re-do the art show during the wine trail in November so more people can see it, he said.

“May is not the most attended, but we’ve had more people this time of year last year. There are a lot of events going on this weekend, even wine events in Fresno,” he said...
