World Ag Expo: local companies make their mark

Out of 1,471 exhibitors showing off their wares at the 45th World Ag Expo in Tulare this week, at least a dozen Madera businesses are making sure to get their names heard and products seen.

“This is the Disneyland of customers for ag businesses,” said Bob Bishel, president of Water Changers, Inc., a Madera-based company that solves water problems and balances pH levels. “You have to keep your name out there and be in front of the customers so they know you exist. More than 100,000 customers come here.”

Water Changers has displayed its product at the World Ag Expo for about a decade, Bishel said.

Some Madera businesses showed up to the expo for the first time this year, while others said they had been represented at the ag show since it started more the four decades ago...
