Camarena Center raises funds for scholarships
Camarena Health Centers hosted its 18th Annual Scholarship Luncheon and Raffle Friday at the Italo American Club.
Volunteers served about 500 meals with crew of local dignitaries working as celebrity waiters. The funds raised are for scholarships to benefit Madera County students who are seeking careers in the medical field.
Last year the Camarena Health Centers awarded seven $2,000 scholarships for a total of $14,000.
