Woman who beat pup is back in jail on suspicion of burglary

Forty-year-old Janice Marie Mossman of Oakhurst, out of jail after a July 11 arrest on suspicion of burglary, is back behind bars, suspected of burglary again.

Mossman, who also goes by the names Janice Marie Yale and Janice Marie Aguilar, was detained Sunday by a grocery store manager who says he saw her stuff a bottle of vodka in her purse and leave the store.

Madera County Sheriff’s Deputy John Terry arrested Mossman and drove her to Madera County Department of Corrections, where she is being held without bail.

Besides her burglary arrests, Mossman was convicted of felony cruelty to animals in March in the Sierra Division of the Madera Superior Court at Bass Lake...
