NORTH FORK — A 26-year-old woman was killed in an alleged DUI collision on Douglas Ranger Station Road after a driver lost control on a curve and rolled down a mountain embankment, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The solo vehicle crash happened about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in clear conditions. CHP Sgt. Ed Green said the passenger, Allison Nicole Demers of North Fork, was not wearing a seat belt and died at the accident site.

Green said the 22-year-old driver, Cody Lee Ann Moore of Wishon, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI with blood alcohol great than 0.08.

Moore reportedly told officers the two women had been drinking at a bar in North Fork earlier in the evening and were out driving around...
