Wine tasters help fund Fossil Discovery Center

About 100 adults gathered in a fossil museum, annually frequented by thousands of children, to drink wine and eat as they helped raise money to keep its doors open.

The wine fundraiser was organized by the San Joaquin Valley Paleontology Foundation, which operates the Fossil Discovery Center of Madera County, 19450 Avenue 21 1/2 in Chowchilla.

Quady Winery, Chateau Lasgoity Winery, San Joaquin Wine Company and Cru Wine Company, all of Madera, and The Vista Ranch and Cellars from Merced poured their wines at the gathering Friday evening.
