Wine lovers and winemakers celebrated California Wine Month, and especially the Madera region known for dessert and port-style wines, during a wine tasting reception at Cru Winery.

Fourteen wines from Madera wineries were poured for sampling, and wine-friendly foods were on hand for sampling. Visitors also enjoyed live music by Bruno Novi and Kim Fletcher.

“It’s a chance to celebrate California Wine Month and taste all of our wines in one spot rather than driving to each winery. Everyone really enjoys it,” said Wendy Eachus, the executive administrator of the Madera Wine Trail and the Madera Vintners Association.

Throughout September wineries across the state have celebrated their region’s wines in honor of California Wine Month, which has been held for eight consecutive years...
