For most people, watching the display at the corner of Lemon Tree Drive and Almond Avenue brings back memories of their Christmases past.

In order to appreciate the enormity of Jeff Cox’s holiday display, it’s best to view it from across the street. If they didn’t, people might miss the sleigh that goes to the roof, or the Santa Claus in the garage, along with elves and nutcrackers, or the gingerbread house in the back corner of the lawn, or the mountain display above it.

For more than 20 years, Cox has decorated his house for Christmas — for the pleasure of the kids in the neighborhoods and for the spirit of Christmas.

Every year, Cox takes multiple days to put up his decorations that include more than 20 inflatables, about 800 lights — synchronized to music played on 98.5 FM — and about 400 extension cords. He even had to purchase more extension cords this year...
