Nonprofit provides free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests
Walk For Life, a fundraising two-mile stroll, will be held at Town & Country Park in Madera on Saturday to help a local non-profit pro-life ministry provide pregnancy and parenting services to local teens.
Doors Of Hope, which counsels and helps pregnant teens, will have an informational booth and registration on the Granada Drive side of the park. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:30 a.m., said Linda Garner, Doors Of Hope director.
It is free to register; this year donations will go toward updating the agency’s classroom materials and parenting DVDs, Garner said. About 100 people attended the event last year, and organizers hope it will be even bigger this year.
