The Fresno State Bulldog marching band will lead the Fresno Veterans Day Parade in downtown Fresno at 11 a.m. Monday while other student groups also observe the occasion over the weekend.
The campus will be closed Monday in observance of Veterans Day, the 94th anniversary recognizing armistice declared between Germany and the Allied Nations ending World War I.
“We at Fresno State are appreciative of the service and sacrifice of all veterans and applaud those who are now students seeking a university education,” said President Joseph I. Castro. “I urge everyone to remember our veterans on Nov. 11 and every day and I encourage veterans to take advantage of the services available to them at Fresno State.”
Fresno State’s veterans/military student population is approximately 380 who are served through the Veterans Services Office in the Division of Student Affairs.
