Respondents say they aren’t affected by spending sequestration

The Valley’s economy is expanding, according to Fresno State’s Craig School of Business San Joaquin Valley Business Conditions Index.

The index is a leading economic indicator from a survey of individuals making company-purchasing decisions in the counties of Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare.

In March, the survey indicated the local economy is improving, with an increase in hiring, lower wholesale prices, larger inventories, and stronger trade.
