Unconscious woman’s missing Jeep found

The Jeep Wrangler belonging to a 42-year-old Oakhurst woman found unconscious on the side of the road near Roads 222 and 274 has been recovered, the Madera County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Shanin Path suffered blunt force trauma and remains hospitalized in serious condition, sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart said.

Her blue Jeep was found abandoned on private property on Road 222 shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Details of the exact location are not being released, Stuart said.

An out-of-town couple that owns the property discovered the Jeep and called the Sheriff’s Office after seeing news reports about the case...
