Jacob Christopher Torrez, 29, and 33-year-old Marshall Anthony Monte, Jr., were arrested Wednesday after detectives connected the two to at least a dozen thefts, Madera County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Erica Stuart said.

Monte remains jailed with bail set at $25,000. Torrez, who was on parole, is being held without bail...
