Two injured in motorcycle crash near O’Neals

A man from Germany sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Road 210 near O’Neals, according to the California Highway Patrol.

He was flown via Life Flight helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center.

CHP Officer Mark Cosentino said Hans Brunstein, 60, of Dusseldorf, and a male friend were riding two rented Harley Davidson motorcycles eastbound Tuesday about 4 p.m. on Road 210 near Road 211, when he lost control.

“They were approaching a curve, likely too fast for conditions. A witness in front of them said the first bike went straight off the road, down an embankment and plowed through a barbed wire fence. Brunstein sustained a fractured left leg and other serious injuries in the crash. The second motorcycle crashed right behind him, on the same curve and went through the same fence. He sustained minor injuries,” Cosentino said...
