The upcoming race for positions on Madera Unified School District’s board of trustees is off to an early start. For the second time in one month, an aspirant for the school board has announced his candidacy for one of the open positions.
Charles Genseal, an advocate for families with children with special needs, threw his hat into the ring Monday evening for the Area 1 seat, which is now held by Ray Seibert.
Last month, Galen Livermore announced his candidacy for area three, which is represented by Robert Garibay.
MUSD trustee Lynn Cogdill introduced both candidates to the public, and Genseal likened the three of them — Cogdill, Livermore, and himself — to the “Three Amigos,” so similar were their views on changes needed at Madera Unified...
