Darin M. Camarena Health Center got help to have merry Christmas with the $9,700 raised with its submission at the annual Sunrise Rotary Trees for Charity on Saturday.

“I believe everyone deserves access to healthcare,” said Cal Crane, member of the DMCHC board. “We provide that with our programs.”

The highest price paid for one of the 12 trees auctioned, the board donated the tree for re-auction garnering an additional $500 for the center.

This year in lieu of Christmas presents from family and friends Crane asked for donations to DMCHC, Crane said. He received 19 responses with donations ranging from $20 to $50. His $750 contribution was joined by funds from the rest of the 14-member board...
