250 kids at Breakfast With Santa

Madera’s youngest enjoyed pancakes and sausages in a breakfast with Santa Claus at First 5 Family Resource Center. The annual holiday event included infants, toddlers, their older siblings as well as moms and dads.

Organized by First 5 Madera County and CalViva Health, Breakfast with Santa usually draws many families, said Erika Wright, the Madera Family Resource Center coordinator. Attendance expectations were not only met this Saturday, but also exceeded. Roughly 250 children 5 years old and younger were pre-registered to participate.

About 327 participants were served a meal and worked together in craft activities, such as making Santa Claus faces on paper plates.

Santa Claus gave books to 178 children. All youths were allowed to pose with Santa for a photo...
