Today at 5 p.m. is the deadline for paying the second installment of 2012-13 property taxes, according to Madera County Treasurer-Tax Collector Tracy Ken-nedy.
Taxes paid after the deadline “will become delinquent. If unpaid at that time, a 10 percent penalty and a $20 cost will be added to each parcel,” she said.
“If you choose to pay in person, we have designated parking spaces on the first floor of our parking garage to allow taxpayers a convenient place to park when they come in to pay their property taxes,” Kennedy said.
“And, as always, we do accept postmarks.”
