There are only days left to register youth for the Madera Parks and Community Services’ t-ball program. Last year more than 600 children participated in the program, which teaches basic baseball skills, teamwork and socialization.

T-ball is open for boys and girls ages 4-8. Children must turn 4 by March 1. Registration will be held until March 14 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Parks and Community Services office at the John W. Wells Youth Center, 701 E. Fifth St. A special Saturday registration will be March 15 at the center.

Cost for each child is $50 and includes a team photo and individual photo.

Games are played each Saturday starting April 26 at Lions Town and Country Park. Coaches are needed for the program. Anyone interested in coaching or more information can call coordinator Adam Romero at 661-5495.
