Ten Madera wineries are planning to complement a weekend of love with wine and chocolate. Gourmet food, live music, local art, crafts, photographs, gift shopping and even wildlife await patrons at Madera Wine Trail’s 2014 Wine and Chocolate Weekend.
“Wine trail weekend is the perfect time for visitors to experience Madera’s rich wine heritage and unique family wineries. Whether you’re new to wine or a connoisseur, there is something for everyone on the wine trail,” said Wendy Eachus, the executive administrator for the Madera Vintners Association, which organizes the annual attraction.
The two-day event is celebrated close to Valentine’s Day and offers visitors the chance to taste homegrown vintages from Madera family wineries. Designated drivers on the trail are admitted free of charge and receive a special VIP kit, which may be picked up on their first stop of the trail.
Wine and Chocolate Weekend will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 8 and 9...
