More than 45 were in attendance for the second annual communication contest for the deaf and hard of hearing, held Friday.
The event, co-sponsored by the Madera County Office of Education and the Optimist Club of Madera, was held at the education office.
The topic was “How my optimism helps me overcome obstacles.”
