Hi my name is Bryce Poore. I’m 13 years old, and a 8th grader at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. I’m a member of the Howard 4-H club. This is my 5th year in 4-H. I’m currently serving as a team captain and I am in four projects. Along with 4-H I play baseball for Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Madera Babe Ruth.

This Year I’m the county winner, with my record book, for Aerospace and Rocketry. This will be my fifth year in the Rocketry group, and I hope to serve as a junior leader. I have built rockets from 6 inches all the way up to 8 feet. Each rocket we build from kits and then launch at our leader’s home. Last year I got Best of Show with my 6-inch Micromaxx Interloper Rocket at the Madera Fair. Rocketry is my favorite project because it is so cool and the challenge of building the rockets is the best.

The other three projects I’m in are Sheep, Demonstrations, and Community Pride. This will be my third year in the sheep project, my second year in the Demonstration project, and it will be the second time I have done Community Pride.

I’ve served as a junior leader for the fishing group for two years, and I have served as sergeant at arms also for the past two years. I have won numerous medals and recognition awards for all of my projects, and I also have earned both my Bronze and Silver stars...
